It’s me. Hi. I’m the problem….

Okay meme reference aside. Or a Taylor Swift reference. Whichever you want to call it. It’s MJ Bailey here (And Minx the cat because he insisted) with some news for your feed. My creative life has been all over the place as I try to chase my dream of being a writer and a creative in all the different ways and not deal with unrelated stuff in the same way that I used to. But basically, I’ve been in creative growing pains and am trying to find a better center. But I had always wanted to publish a book, and then there was a mental shift into self-publishing. Long story short, my first book is, out…coming out… Verbiage is a little weird on that.

Hold Your Peace is a book about two online friends traveling to the same wedding with very different intentions. Alice, our narrator, wants to meet her boyfriend’s friends and family, further enmeshing herself into his world and commit to the shared life they are building together. But her friend Maeve–online moderator and confidante–has been keeping her motives close to her chest and in a notebook. But with a potential wedding disaster looming over the horizon, Maeve’s secrets can’t stay secret for long. 

The links for ordering are in the description. The ebook is available widely. Getting a paperback is a bit more hit or miss. Barnes and Noble has been really good to my friends who placed orders through them while Amazon is seemingly confused. But I think if you have the ISBN number (which I’m including in the description), your local bookseller or library can get a copy. Mine has. But maybe I’m just spoiled. 

Now excuse me while I frantically go to work on the next book, next season of Aishi Online, the next season of Oracle of Dusk, and Temporal Light (nope did not forget about it. Struggled a bit, but it’s coming along) and also a new podcast I wanted to launch by now but that didn’t work out…
